Minnesota Power reported scattered powers outages Monday night in Duluth and Hermantown affecting about 4,000 customers. The highest concentration of customers without power was in the Woodland neighborhood of Duluth.
Once Shawn Pierce takes on a mission, he’s not easily deterred. A 16-year-old from Duluth’s Kenwood neighborhood working toward the rank of Eagle Scout, Pierce set out to build a picnic shelter more than a year ago.
