WASHINGTON — National Republicans have yanked TV advertising for Minnesota GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann’s re-election bid after she suggested Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama may have “anti-American” views and urged an investigation of unpatriotic lawmakers.
On Saturday, some local Republicans expressed surprise about, and Democrats tried to capitalize on, statements made Friday by Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn. In an interview on the MSNBC program “Hardball,” Bachmann said she was concerned Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama “may have anti-American views.”
