Huskies swept aside by Mankato 
NORTHWOODS LEAGUE: Julian Esquibel tossed a seven-inning five-hitter and struck out five as Mankato downed Duluth 5-0 in the first game of a Northwoods League doubleheader Monday, and the MoonDogs broke a tie in the seventh inning of the nightcap to win 3-2 and complete a sweep at Wade Stadium.

Huskies fall to Willmar
NORTHWOODS LEAGUE: The Willmar Stingers scored three runs in the fifth inning Saturday night in rallying to beat Duluth 4-1 in a Northwoods League game before 927 at Bill Taunton Stadium in Willmar, Minn. It was the second straight win over the Huskies for Willmar. The teams are tied for first in the North Division at 7-4.
