Duluth area home sales down about 4 percent in September 
The average home sale price in the Duluth area was also down 4 percent, from $151,650 in September 2009 to about $145,600 last month, the Duluth Area Multiple Listing Service shows.

According to the Duluth Area Association of Realtors group, 209 homes sold in the area in August, exactly the same as 2009. The average price of those homes was $160,445, up 5 percent from August 2009.
