Superior police identify man involved in apparent suicide 
Police found the 52-year-old Superior man dead early Sunday after he drove his vehicle into a number of parked cars. The Douglas County Medical Examiner's Officer has scheduled an autopsy to be conducted within the next couple of days at Midwest Medical Examiner's Office in Ramsey, Minn.

International Falls man killed in snowmobile accident 
The 27-year-old was in the middle of a group of five snowmobilers in Voyageurs National park who had left a resort tavern on Kabetogama and were headed to Black Bay on Rainy Lake. The park's chief ranger said excessive speed, darkness and alcohol are suspected of being involved in the crash.
