The Christmas lights in downtown Duluth were turned off yesterday and will not be relit for the duration of the holiday season at the request of the city’s Energy Conservation Committee. The lights and street decorations will remain in place.

On a recent Saturday morning you might have seen a group of high school students rallying for this year’s education levy in Minnesota Power Plaza. It is especially inspiring to see them engage in a civic issue that is of the greatest importance to them and to the students who will follow in their footsteps.
