No. 7-ranked Minnesota Duluth pulled off one of the most improbable victories in school history with a 5-4 overtime win against No. 12 Princeton in the West Regional semifinals before 7,197 wildly loud fans at Mariucci Arena.
Elin Holmlov, Sara O’Toole and Haley Irwin scored first-period goals and goaltender Kim Martin made 24 saves as the Minnesota Duluth women’s hockey team beat Princeton 3-0 on Sunday in the finale of a non-conference series at the DECC.
