Nhia Vang, a Laotian national who fought on behalf of the U.S. in the Vietnam War, packed up his longtime Duluth home in the face of foreclosure Wednesday. A laid-off machinist who has lived in the U.S. for 23 years and his East Hillside home for 11, Vang recently got a job at an alcohol and drug treatment center, but too late to save his house.
