Brian Matuszak is not a man easily parted from his Rubber Chicken Theater T-shirt. The comedic actor with the comedic theater company favors localized humor and funny voices. So the person who decided he should play the darkest character in one of Shakespeare’s darkest plays was either a visionary - or crossing her fingers super hard.
Stephen Colbert is the only host in late night TV who plays a character. On “The Colbert Report,” he’s a self-absorbed, closed-minded caricature of a jingoistic talk show host, who is supposed to be anything but endearing.
