Ask a trooper: Cars must yield to pedestrians at crosswalks
Q: I understand in Wisconsin that cars must stop for pedestrians in a crosswalk to let them cross. Does Minnesota have a similar law? I work at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth and trying to cross Fourth Street at Fourth Avenue East is a nightmare.

Q: What am I supposed to do when I see a DTA bus trying to get back into the lane after picking up or dropping off a rider? I see drivers stopping to let buses back in. Is that correct?

Ask a trooper: Kids not required to be in back seat, but it is safer
Q: I have questions regarding seat belts and infant seats. If a person only has a single cab pickup, is it legal to put an infant seat in the front seat? And what about collector/antique cars that do not have seat belts or only a lap belt? Also, I have friends who will get in the car, put on the seat belt, then pull the shoulder harness part down so their clothing is not wrinkled. I would like to know the rules on these questions.
