Trainer tip: mix it up 
Q: My workout involves doing intervals on the elliptical machine. I usually burn a little over 300 calories in a half-hour. To avoid boredom, I rode a bike one day for a half-hour, and even though I felt that I had worked just as hard on the bike as I do on the elliptical machine, I only burned 120 calories. Is there that big of a difference between the two activities, or was there something wrong with the calorie counter on the bike?

Trainer tip: warming up 
Q: My new exercise during this challenge has been running stairs for 30 minutes at a time twice per day. Why is it when I first begin running, it is very hard to catch my breath, but after 15 minutes or so it becomes easier even though I don’t think my intensity decreases?

Trainer tip: Pain can indicate improper movements 
Q: I had knee surgery in August 2005 and find that it still is very weak and gets sore after working my legs with lunges/squats/etc. Are there certain exercises that could strengthen my knee and help get it stronger so I could do more intense exercises?
