Bill makes resisting , obstructing police a felony

Assembly Bill 269, dubbed the Police Protection Act, passed the Assembly Chamber this week with wide bipartisan support. Under the bill a person who causes bodily harm to a law enforcement officer while the person is resisting arrest or obstructing an officer is guilty of a Class H felony.
