Benefit supports ‘The Vocalizer Club’
On March 23, the Communication Sciences and Disorders Club at University of Minnesota Duluth hosted a benefit concert with proceeds to “The Vocalizer Club” of Duluth. Essentia Health Polinsky Medical Rehabilitation Center sponsors the support group for individuals and their families throughout the Northland that meets monthly. Laryngectomy survivors are people who have had their larynx removed because of throat or neck cancer. The local support group is a member of the International Association of Laryngectomees (IAL).
