Reader's view: Family won’t be silent on racism
I have the great fortune of my daughter marrying a man from Kenya. It’s been a wonderful marriage and now with two beautiful children along with a greater understanding of his family and culture. Soon after they fell in love, I asked her about her thoughts on their being a couple and what she might experience being in a multicultural marriage. She said right away that she saw racism in ways she had not seen before. She has told me lots of stories.
