Attorney general's response: Give me authority to prosecute synthetic drugs
Synthetic drug abuse is deadly. Last June, an 18-year-old from Grand Forks, N.D., and a 17-year-old from Park Rapids, Minn., died from synthetic drugs. The drugs were made by a self-described “hobby chemist” who bought the synthetic drugs online from China and other countries. He sold the drugs to a dozen people from Grand Forks, who distributed them to friends.
