His active duties included Operation Urgent Fury (Grenada invasion) where he was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne out of Fort Bragg, N.C.; and Operation Desert Storm in Iraq where he served as a Staff Sgt. in the 82nd Airborne 3rd Brigade in charge of all forward support transportation supply lines. His stateside duty stations included Fort Bragg, N.C., and Fort Lewis, Wash., and his overseas duty stations were in Germany and Korea.
