UMD lacrosse team helps out Habitat for Humanity
Western Lake Superior Habitat for Humanity and the University of Minnesota Duluth lacrosse team teamed up to build a new deck for a Grand Lake Township resident. The decking had begun rotting under the weight of the seasons and needed to be replaced. This was the second year the lacrosse team has completed a “Brush of Kindness” project and they raised more than $900 for the project.

A St. Scholastica education student, I am receiving a well-rounded education and cultural perspective. I agree with those who question whether there’s tradition behind shining deer.
