Last month I came across an editorial page from 1996 on which was a letter to the editor about sidewalks needing to be shoveled. It’s now 2013 and we’re still having the same problem with sidewalks not being shoveled.

It was a recently published short letter to the editor in the News Tribune that I read with interest. The writer, in essence, did not understand how a person convicted of a felony could be ordered to pay a $50 fine while someone with a misdemeanor could be sentenced to a higher fine.
