March in Duluth and in Minnesota is notorious for its doldrums. This March gave us record snowfall, which, while a good thing in the eyes of those who keep track of how low our precipitation had been, calculated out to many, many gray and gloomy days. Toward the end of March, when the days were finally getting a little longer, but I was still feeling particularly sorry for myself, I changed my tune a little.
