Reader’s view: Fond-du-Luth ducks payments for city services
I believe the people of Duluth have the right to contest the actions of the Fond-du-Luth Casino. I also believe the casino has been derelict in its corporate financial responsibilities that other U.S. companies subscribe to as part of maintaining the infrastructure of the municipality. In other words, pay Duluth the money it owes instead of ducking the issue.

Reader's view: Time for city to take off gloves over casino
TRegarding the broken Fond-du-Luth contract (“Appeals court reverses city’s $12 (million) victory,” Jan. 15), it is beyond belief the arrogance with which tribal chairwoman Karen Diver speaks of breaking the city of Duluth contract. Reader’s view: Closing Fond-du-Luth Casino would be best for everyone
I believe the current casino in downtown Duluth represents what is wrong with our city. Greed and poor planning with regard to its location has led to crime and people of little income and life skills spending their resources foolishly, creating heartache and a need for many handouts from local charities.

Reader’s view: Close Fond-du-Luth, open casino at Central
With regard to Duluth’s troubles with the Fond-du-Luth Casino, since its owners aren’t living up to their contract with the city, the city and Mayor Don Ness should shut the casino down and open a city-run casino.
