Steve Lindstrom, who draws editorial cartoons for the News Tribune, should have added a third panel to his Oct. 10 cartoon featuring T-shirts being held up, the first of which read, “A government of the people, by the people and for the people.” A third panel’s T-shirt could have read, “A government of the rich and powerful, by the rich and powerful, and for the rich and powerful.” That would have pretty much described the current American democracy.
