Photo gallery: Starting work to renovate Park Point fire hall


The former “boot room” will be transformed into an office/hobby room. The built-in cabinet will be preserved but the shelving area will be sealed off to create a closet in the room behind it. The summer window screens won’t be needed after new windows are installed this summer.

  • A commemorative medallion was found embedded in the old linoleum floor of the old Park Point fire hall, likely harking back to a time when Duluth police and the Fire Department shared quarters there.
