  • Matt Marciniak of Rice Lake Township shot this 15-point buck on opening day of Minnesota’s firearms deer season. It weighed 200 pounds. Marciniak said the rack, in preliminary measurements, unofficially scored a net 156 inches on the Boone and Crockett measuring system. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime buck,” said Marciniak, 24.   • Mary Walker and JP Walker, of Woodbury, Minn., got these nice bucks in Northern Wisconsin. Mary's buck dressed out at 199 pounds and JP's dressed out at 152 pounds.
  • Jim Hansen of Duluth shot this 10-point buck near Meadowlands.
  • Devin 'Bud' Negard, 16, of Beaver Bay shot his first deer, this 8-pointer, outside of Beaver Bay on opening day.
  • Matt Schmidt of Lake Nebagamon shot this 8-point, 185-pound buck.
  • Joey Singpiel, 19, of Cloquet, shot this 10-point buck on Nov. 11.  It took third place in the County Corner bar contest in Brookston.
