William Joseph Welter
William Joseph Welter, 85, of Duluth, passed away Feb. 1, 2014, at St. Luke’s hospital.
Bill was born October of 1928 in Philadelphia, PA to Peter and Gertrude Welter.
He attended and graduated from high school in Philadelphia. Bill entered the Navy in October of 1945 and served until his discharge in 1961 as a Radio First Class.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Ron and Bill Jr.; his parents, three sisters, and two brothers.
Bill is survived by his wife, Gail; daughter Gloria; sons, Steven, Gary, Randy and Greg; 15 grandchildren; many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at Bell Brothers Funeral Home, 601 N. 56th Ave. W., Duluth, with Father Terry Figel officiating. Burial will be at Oneota Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed by the Duluth Honor Guard.
