Marlene Alice (Ahrendt) Anderson, 65, of Nickerson, passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 in Augusta Mercy HCC, Moose Lake.
Marlene was born Aug. 15, 1948 in Duluth to Edward and Betty (Marciniak) Ahrendt. Marlene graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1966. She was united in marriage to Barry C. Anderson on July 1, 1967 in Duluth. Marlene served as a lifelong waitress at Northern Truck Stop, Wheel-n-Inn, Hilltop, Happy Chef, Gampers and Chef's Cafe. Marlene enjoyed bowling, reading, and especially spending time with her grand kids and family.
Marlene is preceded in death by husband, Barry; father, Edward; son, Blaine; daughter, Chantel; and brother, Bernard.
Marlene is survived by her mother, Betty Ahrendt, Duluth; son, Kalen Anderson, Cloquet; daughter, Dinel (Lance) Hollerbach, and Chivon Anderson, all of Nickerson; grandchildren, Austin Hollerbach, Devlin Anderson, and CaNaeya Starks; sisters, Doreen (Charlie) Lane and Jeanine (Gary) Cogswell, Saginaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.
