Phillip Sterling Hull went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, after a yearlong battle with ALS. He was 52.
He graduated from a Duluth High School and then served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and the Reserves for another 13. Throughout his adult life he served 29 1/2 years in fire and emergency services in many roles, from volunteer to instructor. He had a passion for flying and was a certified pilot, which led to many unique job experiences. He accepted Christ at a very young age and was a member of Northeast Bible Church in Garden Ridge, Texas for more than 20 years.
Phil is survived by his wife Sara; their three children Rebecca, Robert, and Abigail; his parents John and Jean Hull of Duluth; and his siblings Denver, John, Greg, and Karen.
VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, in Schertz Funeral Home. Memorial service to be held in River City Community Church on Monday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. with a reception immediately following. The interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Northeast Bible Church Benevolence Fund.
