John Charles Wiley passed from death to life eternal on Jan. 21, 2014, at Chris Jensen Nursing home.
He was born to Thomas and Irene (Lueck) Wiley on Sept.25, 1942 in Duluth.
John graduated from Duluth Cathedral High School in 1961. He worked most of his life as a truck driver for Hyman Freightways, hauling freight locally. He was proud to be a member of the Teamsters Local 346.
John enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping. Many good times were also spent at the family deer shack. In the last few years, John came to know Jesus as his personal Savior, attending bible studies regularly at Chris Jensen chapel.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one sister Geri Hess.
John will be deeply missed by his two sons, Chris (Joanna) New Brighton, Glen (Cindy) Duluth; one brother, Bob Currier, Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Pat Currier Duluth and Sue (Bill) Kyrola Duluth; one granddaughter, Veronica; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
SERVICE: 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, in First Memorial Chapel. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery.
