Betty Jean Kneeland, 84 of Cloquet, passed away peacefully on Jan. 9, 2014, surrounded by her two children at Inter-Faith Care Center.
She was born on Nov. 13, 1929 in Cloquet to Myron and Beatrice (Dodge) Larson.
She was on the student council and was also a Lumberjack cheerleader at Cloquet High School, and graduated in 1947.
Jean worked as a cashier at the Public Market Grocery Store and Super One in Cloquet. She loved doing crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick in 1968.
Jean is survived by her son Steven (Becky) of Duluth and her daughter Kathy Dietz of Cloquet; grandchildren, Ben (Ariel) Kneeland of Carlsbad, Calif., Annie Kneeland of Minneapolis, Alysha Kneeland of Kodiak, Alaska, Abigail Kneeland of Duluth, Allie Kneeland of Minneapolis and Joshua Kneeland of Duluth; brothers, Ken Larson and Jerry Larson both of Cloquet and Peter (Debbie) Larson of Mahtowa; nieces, Holly Larson of Duluth and Lindsey Larson of Richland, Wash.
