Anthony "Prez" Kettner, 62, of Thomson, passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 at home.
He was born Oct. 5, 1951 in Washington D.C. to Jack and Arletta (Hubbell) Kettner.
Prez graduated from Cloquet High School in 1969. He owned and operated a successful construction company in Houston, Texas. Prez also worked in construction for several pipelines and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union No. 346 of Duluth. He enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, fishing, hunting, and collecting antiques. Prez especially loved his children and having fun with family and friends, and "Getting the next round".
Prez was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Chaz Kettner.
He is survived by his children, Jeremy and Kehtra Kettner; former wife, Dixie Kettner; brothers, Michael (Julie) Kettner, Ed (Angie) Kettner, and Jack (Aida) Kettner Jr.; sister, Sue (Rudy Brown) Nikko; brothers-in-law, Craig Salo, Randy Westerham and Shawn Westerham; sister-in-law, Debbie Alaspa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 in the River Inn in Scanlon. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the charity of choice in his memory. See the family online guest book at www.nelsonfuneralcare.net
