Chester "Chet" Truedson, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 in Duluth, Minn.
He was born in Aug. of 1921 in Hallock, Minn. His family later moved to Red Wing, Minn. where he graduated from high school. After graduation, he served in Europe in World War II as an army technician. Upon his return, he married his best friend, Marge, and they were together for 63 years. Together they raised three daughters and spent many years square dancing, camping, and enjoyed many family picnics. Family was very important to him.
Minnesota Power was Chet's place of employment for 38 years. He is deeply loved by his family and will be sorely missed.
He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; three sisters and one brother.
Chet is survived by his three daughters, Kathy (Jim) Sharrow, Debbie (Dave) Thorp and Sandy (Bill) Egelhoff; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren and one on the way; and nieces & nephews.
VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at the Jarvi Dowd Funeral Home, 925 E. 4th Street. Military Honors by the Duluth Honor Guard. Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery. Memorials preferred to First Lutheran Church or Donor's Choice.
