Jack McKenna, 91, died peacefully on Dec. 8th.
Jack was born in Duluth to Georgiana and John Maltby.
He graduated from Denfeld in 1940 and was later inducted into the Denfeld Hall of Fame. Jack attended UMD and then enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed in England predicting the weather for bombing raids.
Jack married Marge Bowerman and they raised three sons in Duluth. He spent most of his 50 years of radio and television in the Duluth-Superior area which both he and Marge deeply loved.
At 90 years old, Jack was still broadcasting the Radio Superior show on KUWS-FM.
Jack was deeply involved in the Catholic church becoming a Deacon with the help of his long time friend and coworker Dennis Anderson.
He is preceded in death by his wife Marge; mother; father; step father William McKenna and brothers Tommy and David.
He is survived by his sons Brian (Pam), John (Laurie) and Kevin (Sis); six grandchildren Kerri, Mark, Nowell, Sean, Shannon and Casey and many great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Golden Living Center in Superior for the great care he received while living there.
SERVICES: will be held in early summer in Superior Wis.
