Richard James Landrum, 89, of West Superior St, formerly of Superior, Wis., died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 in Chris Jensen Health Center.
He was born on Oct. 7, 1924 in Eau Claire, Wis., to Bert and Frances (McLaughlin) Landrum.
Richard attended Superior Central High School and was a World War II Army Veteran. Richard was a baker for the Army and following his discharge he worked for Zinsmaster Bakery and retired in 2002 from the Superior School District where he was a custodian.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Barbara; second wife, Betty; a stepson, Richard "Dick" Mays; and a stepdaughter, Pam Munkers.
He is survived by his sons, Robert and Bernie of Duluth; a sister, Mary Ellen LaBoone of South Carolina; stepson, Don (Melanie) Mays of Rochester, Minn., and stepdaughter, Mary Kay Mays of Iowa; grandchildren, Tyler Mays, Jill and Jeff Munkers, Joey and Dale Munkers; a close friend, Dolores Grivicich of Duluth.
VISITATION: 10 until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 in Holy Family Catholic Church. 2430 West 3rd St. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, Wis.
