Carol Smith Prudhomme, 80, of Duluth died in Monday Nov. 18, 2013 in the Benedictine Health Center.
She was born in Duluth on Dec. 25, 1932 to Gregar and Lela (Gardner) Anderson.
Carol graduated from Central High School in 1950. She was employed as a bookkeeper for many years working for Gopher News and Overhead Door Company retiring in 1995.
Carol loved gardening, camping and decorating her doll house. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Joe of 43 years and her second husband Clyde of 17 years. They would travel to Texas during the winter months as their health permitted.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Joseph; her second husband, Clyde on Nov. 1, 2013; and her brothers, Roy, Carl, David and John Anderson. Clyde died just 17 days prior to Carol's death; he was devoted to her and her care over these years.
Survivors include her children, James (Cheryl) Smith of Duluth, Linda (Robert) Forte of Duluth, Susan (Marvin) Fields of Shakopee, Minn., Mary (David) Crain of Duluth; her grandchildren, Dan, Lisa, Drew, Jillian, Anne, Chris, Ryan, Ross, Sr. Amata Marae, Aaron, Joe and Jenny; her brothers, Lyle (Carol), Harold and Patrick Anderson; the children of Clyde Prudhomme and numerous nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 in the Dougherty Funeral Home Chapel and will continue Friday Nov. 22, 2013 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral in the Chapel. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
