May L. Lundgren, 88, Duluth, died Oct. 15, 2013 at Edgewood Vista.
She was born in Eveleth, Minn., on Aug. 17, 1925 to Andrew and Hilda Lindholm.
She was a 1943 graduate of Denfeld High School and a graduate of the Duluth Business University. May married Vernon Lundgren in Duluth on May 27, 1947. She had worked as an accountant for Jarl Hanson, CPA, O'Brien Properties and Johnson-Mertz Appliance.
May was member of Zion Lutheran Church, Zion Vikings, the Zion Quilting Group, Elizabeth Circle and ELCW, Elk's Aux., Past Worthy Matron of the Zenith Chapter No. 5, OES and Charter Member of the Winnehaha's Winnebago Camping Club. She also had been a Den Mother and election judge.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Vernon in 2004.
May is survived by her sons Darryl (Kathleen), Woodbridge, Va., John, Reardon, Wash., and Brian (Tina), Mebane, N.C.; grandchildren Carrie (Neil) Bailey, Mark (Cyndi) Lundgren, Nicholas, Shawn (Jackie), Eric, Kevin (Jennifer) and Kyle Lundgren; great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Cooper Bailey, Ava and Braeden Lundgren, Preston, Kaden, Iyana, Payton, Kerstin, Gwenith, Bailey, Lexi Lundgren.
VISITATION: 11 a.m. until the 12 Noon memorial service Oct 24, in Zion Lutheran Church, Duluth. Inurnment Sunrise Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Zion Lutheran Church, 2431 W. 3rd St. Duluth, 55806 or Scottish Rite Childrens Language Disorder Clinic, 30 W 2nd St., Duluth 55802.
