Rev. Paul Willard Ingelin, 81, of Duluth, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013 at Ecumen Lakeshore - The Fountains.
He was born Oct. 13, 1931 in Two Harbors, Minn. to Veikko and Ingrid (Oja) Ingelin.
Paul married Fay Anetta Dalton on June 14, 1953 in Forest City, Iowa. Paul considered it an honor and a privilege to serve as a United Methodist Minister for 40 years. He served congregations in Duluth, as an associate, Coleraine, Aurora-Hoyt Lakes, Minneapolis (Grace Church), Detroit Lakes and Virginia. Friends will remember his wit, intelligence, sense of humor, and compassion.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Timothy; brother Arnold; and sister Myrna Ingelin.
Paul is survived by his wife Fay; sons Mark (Cam) of Independence, KY, and John (Cindy) of Andover, Minn.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his brother Jack (Evelyn) of Babbitt, Minn.
GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 12 Noon Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 until the 1 p.m. memorial service in Hope United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Two Harbors, Minn. In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to Hope United Methodist Church, 301 W. St. Marie St., Duluth, MN. 55803 would be appreciated. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, Duluth, 727-3555.
