Marguerite "Marge" was born on July 4, 1910 in Winona, Minn., to Frederick C. Priewert and Minnie C. (Herman) Priewert.
She moved with her family to Superior, Wis., in 1911 when her father found work on the railroads.
Marge attended Blaine Elementary and graduated from Central High School in Superior. She married Ernest C. Nyholm in 1933, and they moved to Cloquet, Minn., where their daughter Carol was born. In 1944 they moved to the Jackson housing project in Hermantown, Minn., where their son Kurt was born.
Marge was a wonderful homemaker, an excellent cook, and she loved to dance. She enjoyed travel, and often joined her husband "on the road" at his job sites across the country. They moved to the Lakeside area of Duluth in 1970, and were members of Faith Lutheran Church.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ernest; and her sister Mona (Clayton) Johnson.
Her survivors include brother Frederick A. (Ellie) Priewert of Winona, Minn.;, son Kurt S. (Gayle) Nyholm of Juneau, Alaska; daughter Carol Nyholm of Babbitt, Minn.; grandchildren Paula McKenzie of Babbitt, Minn., Christine McKenzie (Robert) Burbie of Bovey, Minn., Gabriel K. Nyholm of Juneau, Alaska and great-grandson Daniel McKenzie of Bovey, Minn. and nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, in Jarvi Dowd Funeral Home, 925 E. 4th Street, Duluth, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4 in Faith Lutheran Church, 1814 N. 51st Ave. E., Duluth. Funeral services at 11 a.m. in Faith Lutheran Church, luncheon to follow in the church hall. Entombment will be at Sunrise Memorial Park, Hermantown.
