Sept. 13, 2013, marked the end of 98 years and a great life for Ilo Warren Billings.
Ilo was born in 1915 to Guy and Sadie Billings and was a lifelong resident of Duluth. He was married over 40 wonderful years to Doris, the love of his life. They spent many happy years together with family at the cabin on Sand Lake.
Ilo enjoyed a long and healthy life. He retired from Elliott Meat Packing Co. after 38 years of being a maintenance mechanic.
Ilo was an Army Veteran and served in World War II. He also belonged to the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 36.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; and special friend, Mabel Williams.
Ilo is survived by his children, Mary Fitch of Duluth, Robert (Karen) of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Brian (Treva) of Victoria; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
VISITATION: 11 a.m. until the 12 Noon Funeral Service Thursday, Sept 19, 2013 in Bell Brothers Funeral Home, 601 N. 56th Ave. W. in Duluth. Burial will be at Oneota Cemetery.
