Jerry A. Ruzic, 61, longtime resident of Oliver, Wis., passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 in Essentia Health.
Jerry was born in Duluth on April 10, 1952 to John and Marjorie (Thorstad) Ruzic.
He graduated from Proctor High School. Jerry worked for several area businesses and was self-employed for a number of years. He was very instrumental in raising the funds for new equipment and improvements for Matthew Pionk Park in Oliver, Wis. Jerry also served several years on the Village of Oliver Board as trustee and village president.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother James.
Jerry is survived by his wife Brenda of 30 years; son Jeremy A.; sister Joanne (Thomas) Bislow; brothers, Jack (Barbara) and Jeffrey; sister-in-law Deb; special nephew Daniel R. (Brenda) Gamache as well as many extended family members and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Intensive Coronary Care Unit staff at Essentia Health for all of their care.
VISITATION: 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 in Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth. A celebration of life will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Borders Sports Bar and Grill 3028 Hwy. 105 Superior, WI. Services entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota 218-624-5200
