Virginia T. Hagen, 88 of Cloquet, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013 at Sunnyside Health Care in Cloquet.
She was born Aug. 31, 1924 in Duluth to Harold and May (Lindland) Behn and graduated from Denfeld High School.
Virginia was united in marriage to Morry Hagen in 1944. For many years she taught Sunday school and was involved with numerous groups at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Virginia was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and followed her boys through many sporting events. She loved her Minnesota Vikings and was known for her famous roast beef and mashed potatoes and gravy dinners and her famous cinnamon rolls. She never missed a game of bingo at the nursing home. Virginia also enjoyed her trips to Family Tradition with her son Ernie.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Morry; and daughter-in-law, Lorrie Hagen.
She is survived by four sons, Jim, Jack (Vicki), and Tom "Ernie" of Cloquet and Michael of Roseville; brother Harlan (Mary) Behn of Duluth; grandchildren Amy Pollard (Steve Kolodge), Joshua (Dawn) Hagen of Cloquet, Abby (Dan) Willie of Austin, Texas, T.J. Salo of Elk River, and Dapper Salo of Destine, Fla.; great-grandchildren Garrett, Camden, Aydann, Jackson, Ryder, Finn, Annastyn, Logan, and Kaia; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Sunnyside Health Care for the fabulous care given to her and a special thank you to Pastor Dennis Morreim. Suggested memorials may be sent to Sunnyside Health Care Center.
