Bruce A. Nordin, 70 of Cloquet passed away on Aug. 17, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born on Nov. 21, 1942 to Emil and Pearl Nordin in Alborn, Minn.
Bruce served on the Silver Bay Rescue Squad. He worked many years as a millwright and was a member of the Millwright Local 1348 and also the Knights of Columbus. Bruce enjoyed camping with his family and friends and he also loved woodcarving and crafts.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Joan; children Bruce (Kelli), Cheryl (Rod) Hicks, Sheila, Shelley and Wayne (Vickie); 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers Tim (Jeannine) and Terry (Carol); and his best buds Max and Tuffy.
VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013 with a Vigil Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. in the Handevidt Funeral Home, 900 Washington Ave. The visitation will continue on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013 from 10 a.m. until the 11 am. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 102 4th Street, Cloquet. Interment at Old Calvary Cemetery, Cloquet.
