ALBERT F. NATT
Albert F. Natt, 74, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, in the Hummingbird Customized Living Home in Meadowlands.
Albert was born July 25, 1939, in Sweet Valley, Pa., the son of Joseph and Matilda Natt. His family moved to Michigan in 1951 where he graduated from the River Rouge (Mich.) High School in 1958. He married the love of his life, Arlette Perala, Oct. 29, 1960 in River Rouge.
Albert worked at the Lego Co. in Ecorse, Mich., and had a variety of other jobs in Michigan before moving to Toivola in the early 60’s. There he helped farm Arlette’s family farm, did some logging and worked at Schneiderman’s Furniture until he got his job at Erie Mining Co. in 1967. He worked there until he retired in 1997 after 30 years and three months services.
Albert and Arlette lived in Aurora for the first 10 years he worked at Erie and would spend their long weekends at the farm in Toivola. The farm was eventually remodeled, and they lived there full-time and Al made the long trip to Hoyt Lakes every day. He would never miss work.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlette; his parents; brothers Joseph and Victor; and his dogs, King, Shadow, Brandy and Sandy, who he loved to take for walks and car rides.
Albert is survived by his brothers, Chester (Rosemary) Natt of Riverview, Mich., and Leo (Karen) Natt of Jamestown, Tenn.; sister Irene Gegich of Ecorse, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express our great appreciation to everyone at the Hummingbird Customized Living. You all made his last four months the best. We would also like to thank Albert’s homecare givers Tammy and Bob and the Essentia Health East Range Hospice and staff. Thank you all very much! You did great!
