William "Bill" John Wuorio, 74 of Isle died July 23, 2013 at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis.
He was born July 18, 1939 in Duluth to Peter and Helen (Peterson) Wuorio.
He graduated from Duluth Denfeld High School. Bill was united in marriage to Judy (Mahler) on July 10, 1970 in Saginaw. He worked for many years as an Ice Road Trucker. He was former state champion and past president of the Minnesota Trap shooters Association. He was a very avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.
He was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church of Malmo.
He was preceded in death his uncle Carl and his parents Peter and Helen (Peterson) Wuorio.
Bill is survived by his wife Judy; four daughters and sons-in-law, Terri (George) Drimel, Debbie (Mike) Appelwick, Rhonda (Jordan) Flagstad, Renee (Stephane) Tsamba-Massala; 11 grandchildren, Amanda, John, Eric, Aaron, Megan, Taylor, Kenzie, Bo, Christian, Olivia, Oceanne; six great-grandchildren, Liam, Reese, Kyler, Hunter, Isabelle, Lydia; brother, Pete Wuorio; sister, Lana Roerkhol; many other relatives and friends.
VISITATION: 12:30 p.m. until the 1:30 p.m. service Monday, July 29, 2013 in Bethesda Lutheran Church of Malmo. Reverend James Raisanen will officiate. Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin. www.srtfuneral.com
