Kenneth J. Sall, 88 of Aitkin died Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin.
He was born June 27, 1925 in Crosby to Joseph and Ellen Sall.
He graduated from Crosby High School and then from the University of Minnesota. He was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran serving in World War II. Kenneth was united in marriage to Muriel Harris on July 18, 1948 in Crosby. He was the former owner and partner of Aitkin Furniture Co.
He was a former mayor of Aitkin. A member of the Aitkin American Legion Lee Post No. 86, First Lutheran Church of Aitkin where he sang in the church choir, and the longest member of Cuyuna Country Club in Deerwood. He enjoyed golfing, golfing and golfing, snowmobiling, the years he and Muriel spent in Florida, traveling (if he got to golf), and he loved spending time with people and being with his family.
He was preceded in death by his brother Roy Sall and his parents Joseph and Ellen Sall.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Muriel of Aitkin; son and daughter-in-law, Richard (Nancy) Sall of Duluth; daughter and son-in-law, Marydith (David) Delisle of Duluth; grandchildren, Jason (Elizabeth) Delisle, Matthew (Christine) Delisle, Heather (Ryan) Carey, Christopher Sall (fiancee' Allie); great-grandchildren, Breanne, Kara, Gabriel Delisle, and his grand-dog Casey; many other relatives and friends.
VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service Friday, July 19, 2013 inFirst Lutheran Church in Aitkin. Reverend Darrell Pedersen will officiate. Military honors will be accorded by Aitkin American Legion Lee Post No. 86 and Aitkin VFW Roberts-Glad Post No. 1727.
