Maxwell Mackenzie Macaulay, died July 9, 2013 in Eau Claire, Wis., surrounded by family and a community of love and support.
He was born June 2, 1989 in Duluth.
He attended school at St. John's Elementary, Marshall Middle School and Central High School. After high school he lived on the west coast, travelled the country and consumed life. He enjoyed meeting and socializing with people of all ages and interests. He could light up a room with his charm! He met the loves of his life, Sami Houser and her Great Dane Dino three years ago. Together the three of them travelled, skipped stones, laughed and dreamed. He packed a lifetime of memories into his very short life.
Maxwell was preceded in death by his grandparents Nancy Kostamo Lee, Richard Kostamo and George Macaulay.
He is survived by his parents Anne and Malcolm; his sister Frances; his very special friend Samantha Houser; his best friend Dino; his grandmother Barbara Forrest and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Maxwell's family would like to thank the entire staff at Sacred Heart hospital in Eau Claire, Wis. for the outstanding love, support and care they provided for him.
VISITATION: 4:30 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2013 in St. Michael's Catholic Church, 4901E Superior St., Duluth followed by a celebration Mass. Reception after the Mass in the church hall. Bring a story and smiles. Memorials to your favorite youth organization.
