Benjamin Scott Jones, 24, of Duluth, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013, as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Ben was born in Duluth Sept. 25, 1988, to Jim and Sheree Kay Jones. He grew up in Duluth and graduated from Lake Superior High School in 2007. Following high school, earning the character award, Ben served his country as a Corporal for the Marine Corp, earning numerous commendations. He was currently employed as a caregiver for At Home Living.
Ben was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed a variety of activities including snowmobiling, fishing, four-wheeling, motorcycling and playing soccer. He always enhanced his activities with his trusty sidekicks, his dogs, Cadence and Creed.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, John Stahl; and by Bobby and Scotty Alseth.
Ben is survived by his mother, Sheree Kay Jones of Duluth; father, Jim (Kim) Jones of Solon Springs; stepfather, Jeff Cozzi of Duluth; grandparents, Carol and Dan Jones of Duluth and Lois and Ned Lundberg of Two Harbors; and siblings Jerod, Cody (Caley) Jones, and Jeris (Laura Olson) Cozzi.
FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS: 11 a.m. until the 12 noon memorial service, Thursday, July 11, at The Vineyard Church, 1533 W. Arrowhead Road, Duluth, followed by lunch at the church.
Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Duluth Township. Military Honors will be provided by the National Guard Honor Guard.
