Nancy Lee Engelsgjerd, 48, of Sartell, Minn. died Friday, June 14, 2013, in St. Cloud Hospital.
Nancy was born in Duluth Feb. 5, 1965 to Robert and Mary Lou (Armstrong) Sabroski. She was a 1983 graduate of Duluth East High School and graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in elementary education. She taught elementary grade school in Elk River, Minn.
Nancy had a passion for theater and was in many productions in high school and college, as well as in plays at the Duluth Playhouse. She continued her passion for theater by attending her sons many plays. Nancy loved to be with family and was always sending them small gifts. She never forgot a birthday or special occasion.
Nancy is survived by sons Sam (Kamie Olson) of Brooklyn Park, Minn., and Alex and Charlie Engelsgjerd, both of Sartell; parents Robert and Mary Lou Sabroski of Duluth; siblings Mary Kay Sabroski of Breckenridge, Minn., Daniel (Rebecca) Sabroski of Crestview, Fla., Susan (Jim) Smart of Rosemount, Minn., Barb (Greg) Gecas of Gunflint Trail, Minn., Robert (Linda) Sabroski of Phoenix, Ariz., Jean (Nicholas) Revier of Twin Valley, Minn., and Alan (Suzanne) Sabroski and Sarah (Frank) Selhorst, both of Duluth; and many nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, in Dougherty Funeral Home and 10 until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Wednesday, June 26, in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 4901 E. Superior St. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials directed to Multiple Sclerosis Society, 200 12th Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55415 would be appreciated.
