Virginia Helen Anderson, 90, of Proctor, died Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Heritage Haven Assisted Living.
She was born in Proctor in 1922 to Edward and Edna Weiler.
She married Arthur Anderson Nov. 26, 1949 in Hermantown.
Virginia graduated from Proctor High School and also Business School. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Proctor, taught Sunday school, was a member of the Altar Guild, Martha Circle, and attended Bible class. Virginia was also a Cub Scout leader, a member of the American Auxiliary in Proctor, and a member of AARP. She was employed by Coolerator Company in the accounts payable department.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband in 1996; her parents; brothers, Edward Jr. and Gerald Weiler; son-in-law, Randy Gergen; and dog and companion, Cody.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Gergen; son, Tom (Nancy) Anderson; four grandchildren, Scott (Kathy), Nick, and Brett (Casey) Anderson, and Tom Gergen; great grandson, Connor; and sisters-in-law, Lorraine and Joy Weiler. Virginia is further survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of Heritage Haven.
VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013 in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Proctor. Funeral service will be Friday, June 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior in Immanuel Lutheran Church. Interment at Oneota Cemetery.
