Gloria M. Beckstrom, 85, of Alborn, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013, in Sunnyside Health Care in Cloquet.
Gloria was born to the late Otto and Rose Neunfeldtn Aug. 13, 1927, in St. Paul, Minn. She married Gene Beckstrom in Bremerton, Wash., in 1945. They lived together throughout the United States while Gene served in the Armed Forces, to include Alaska through statehood, during the course of their 67 years of marriage. Gloria was a homemaker and passionate about helping Military-Veterans.
She was a member of the V.F.W. Woman's Auxiliary for 65 years. Gloria was also an avid cribbage player and enjoyed skunking her opponents at any available opportunity. Gloria was ever-loving and faithfully devoted to her family and God.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Gene; children Gene M. Beckstrom of Floodwood and Bruce and Christine Beckstrom, both of Alborn; grandchildren Alicia, Becci, Bryce and Peter; and great-grandchildren Tyler, Hailey Mae, Nicholas, Jaxon, Alexander, and Delilah Gloria.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations. The donations will be contributed to groups and/or organizations in keeping with Gloria's earthly endeavors.
