Richard "Dick" Allen Hellman, 68, of Two Harbors, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Solvay Hospice House, from Esophageal Cancer.
Dick was born June 21, 1944 in Biwabik, Minn., to Hugo and Gladys Hellman.
On Aug. 6, 1966 Dick married Sharon Ann Aldinger, in Aurora, Minn.
Dick was a logger, worked in construction, mining and Serco Loaders for 29 years, the best job of his life. Dick served in the armed forces, in Korea, from 1964-1966.
Dick was preceded in death by an infant son, Todd Allen and infant daughter, Jodi Ann; his mother, Gladys.
He will be deeply missed and still loved by his surviving wife of 46 years, Sharon; daughter, Sheila Marie (Bob) Bissell; grandson, Brandon Todd (Elasah Dempsey) Hellman; his dog, Dixon; father, Hugo; siblings, Geraldine Mealey, Calvin, Steve and Kevin; brothers-in-law, Dan Mealey, Albert (Nancy) Aldinger, Kenneth (Yadi) Aldinger, Mark (Julie) Aldinger; sister-in-law, Barbara (Randy) Merritt; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and many special friends including, Sister Mary Felton, Connie, Lisa, Jaime and Bryan, who were all like family to him.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, in the Two Harbors Moose Club. Family interment at a later date.
