Kenneth C. Slowinski, 61, Iron River, Wis., passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, April 18, 2013.
He was born on Aug. 10, 1951 in Duluth to Chester and Marie (Marion) Slowinski.
Ken graduated from Denfeld High School. Right after graduation he went to work at Rohlfing Distributing for nine years and then became a truck driver for Miners Enterprises and has been employed with them for the last 35 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He loved his Harley motorcycle and loved going on motorcycle trips.
He was preceded in death by his father Chester.
Ken is survived by son Kacey Slowinski, Iron River; grandson, Dylan Slowinski, Iron River; his mother, Marie (Bob Bowers) Slowinski Bowers, Duluth; sister, Nancy Reijo, Brule, Wis.; brother, Robert Slowinski, Superior; niece, Julie Armbruster, Memphis, Tenn.; nephew, Kent (Lisa Warbalow) Armbruster, Iron River and great-nephews, Kevin and Cole Armbruster.
VISITATION: 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. Memorial Service on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in the Iron River Presbyterian Church with Pastor Richard Blood, officiating. There will a celebration of Ken's life at Carignan's Bowling Center following the Memorial Service.
